These are called phallus paintings.....painted on local/rural homes all over Bhutan. Symbolizes happiness, wisdom and drives away evil spirits

The 5th King, his oldest son and future King, and the Queen Mother......all are very popular and revered

Lunch the 2nd day in Thimpu after our arduous hike up the mountain.....probaly best meal in Bhutan!!!

Druk Lager.....5%....they have an 8% which we also tried but like the 5% better!!!!
