Oct 20-24 Hi All, Nongsa: Turned out to be not too much to do in Nongsa except relax. It rained a lot so it was just easier and very relaxing to stay inside with the AC on…..yes, AC heaven. We had several HH/dinners at the restaurant which was pretty good and on Sunday they had … Read More →

October 19, 2016 6:55 pm / John

Oct 16-19 Hi All, Ketawai: We made it to the anchorage around 4pm….86nm, 10.5 hrs, 8.2kt avg….not too bad!!! Captain’s Log: Tanjung Kelayang Belitung

October 15, 2016 3:51 am / John

October 4, 2016 1:37 am / John

Oct 2-4 Hi All, The Kumai adventure continues……. Anchoring: oh my lord, this has been a most difficult anchorage for many boats including us. The challenge is the boats turn 180* 4x per day due to the tide changes which means the anchor hopefully resets…..and the current can run up to 4 knots….very challenging, especially … Read More →

Sept 26-Oct 2 Hi All, We did leave Bawean at 7am on Monday, Sept 26 for the overnighter to Kumai Kalimantan on the island of Borneo. There were squalls all around us for most of the morning but we found the only blue sky and had sun most of the day……that means it was HOT … Read More →
