Bailey dog, Dave and Dana's.....we got to dog-sit and give her some peace and tranquility for a few days:)))
One of many items after 31 years we either sold, donated or took to the dump. This pool table was sold to a young couple in Sacramento

We fist saw our eventual new house in Trilogy by the Vineyards on July 30 with this gorgeous view of a vineyard. It was a very long process, closed on Oct 9th and took possession Oct 20.
Lovely back patio setting with hot tub. The tree on the left we had removed.....too close to the house....think rodents, and it dropped mega leaves into the hot tub....ugh!!!
The main family room and kitchen. We did buy that very comfortable big chair and the big TV was part of the deal!!
Time out for a pool party at Rick and Joyce's house. That's Dave, Dana, Kennedy and Roxi.....cute family!!
Going through drawers of stuff we came across this picture.....that's John, Craig & Darrell....the Three Amigos.....on a vacation bareboating in the Caribbean in the 1990's....did "they" have fun:)))
Draining the pool and getting ready for new plaster, tile and coping.....about a 3.5 week process with lots of noise and dust!!!
We had to stage the house for showings and Toni, the stager, used a combination of her stuff and ours. I was glad to see these two posters made the cut:)))
For 28 straight days we worked and suffered through some of the worst air quality we have ever experienced, all due to local forest fires
A quick walk through in Viognier before we closed on 10/9.....hmmm, seems all our Viognier pics are of the vineyard:))))
We arrived on 10/21 to our new house and found the Seller had not removed their storage UNIT yet....WTH....one of way too may surprises left by the Sellers
We had bought the guest room furniture from the Sellers only to discover they took the mattress and forgot to tell us. We were able to go buy a mattress and have it delivered the next day!!!
The Sellers left a lot of wine for reasons unknown. It looks to be a family wine and is actually quite good!!
Four days before we took possession the Sellers informed us they had Covid.....ugh.....we had the house professionally cleaned and sanitized.....of course, that totally disrupted our plans, took about 10 hours to organize and was pretty costly!!!
While Viognier was being sanitized we moved out of Ganner CT. This crew from Bekins was outstanding!!! Bekins kept our goods in the truck on their lot for about a week until they could deliver to Viognier
Dave lent us his new truck as we moved in to Viognier on Oct 21 after we packed up Ganner Ct. We made 3 trips with his truck plus Kathy's car!!
Wow....what a day....move out of one house, move into the next.....Joyce and Rick had sent along a very nice house warming gift.....a 21-year old Glenfiddich bottle for John-boy
For security reasons, we had a new electronic lock installed on the front door and rekeyed all other doors
The house has an AirCycler system which the Sellers told us brought in fresh air....NOT....after inspecting the HVAC system no outside air vent was found....ugh!!! I replaced the controller as the LED display was toast
But, no air filter on the coils.....I cleaned thoroughly and added a filter....got to keep the cellar in prime condition....priorities:)))
It's a Puronics Defender system...actually a good one...but most likely the media has been damaged by lack of salt to recharge it
We had a House inspection done on Viognier before we bought.....huge rodent problem was discovered in the attics....just another contentious issue with Sellers. We had the HVAC system in the attics inspected and yep, found this rodent....a field mouse and not a rat. The Pest Control Company the Seller used to repair the previous damage came back out and found another 5-10 holes for these critters to enter the house!!!
The original owners planted these trees in 2008 and the Sellers had not bothered to trim back. They not only didn't look too good but were overgrowing the roof eaves giving the rodents easy access to the house
