WE DID IT; Completed our circumnavigation of the Pacific. We left Sitka on 7/17/2006 and arrived back on 9/4/2018!!!! 12+ years...what a ride!!!

We also celebrated at the Pioneer Bay....a local fisherman bar called P-bar.....we were there in 2006 with Craig & Jeanette!!

There was a ranger station a few 100 yards from us. At high tide it was blocked from our view...whoa!!!

Marjerie is now the iconic glacier for Glacier Bay, the one you see all the pictures of blue ice and dramatic calving
Grand Pacific does not reach the water.....has receded many miles inland

The Grand Pacific was the granddaddy of it all and has now receded way up the mountain. Now you see this 200' wall of mud/rock/soil where the glacier had once been maybe 40 years ago

We left the bottom side and went back out around the ice flow about 2 miles and around the ice flow to the center and top part.
