Hi All,
Yes….this trawler like weather has continued…..now this is what I’m talking about 🙂 )))
Day 3…..hmmmm….this is when you are supposed to get into a rhythm and shake off being so tired….NOT….someone please tell my body to read the memo. I woke at 2:00 am for my watch about as dead tired as I have been…..deep REM sleep was marvelous and is NOT supposed to be interrupted!!!!! One of our friends wrote: “30 degree roles? Holy $&@%!!!!!!!! That sounds like 36 hours of hell – you must be exhausted”…..well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it 🙂 )))
Now, 2 cups of coffee down, a walk along the Portuguese bridge in this chilly 70 deg F air and I’m better….and yes, for the first time on this voyage I saw stars and broke out into song….can you hear me now 🙂 ))) Yes, God has spoken to me about my singing so I ended humming Amazing Grace for all it was worth!!!!
The story for the day is weather: The weather continued to calm all day, 12-18, then 10-14, to now 2-6 kts!!! The wind chop is negligible and the swell in the 1-3′ range, very gentle!!! All is still SE but maybe turning a little to SSE.
Our speed has been as high as 8.2kts but since midnight it has declined to the low 7’s kt….drats that counter current. However, for the day we averaged 7.6kts…..our best day yet!!!
Boat Stuff: nothing new, yeah!!!!
